  • There is no agreed-upon definition of AI.

Photo by Ric Han on Pexels

”And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genisis 1:28

If you were to ask me about my knowledge when it comes to AI, I would have to say that I know absolutely nothing compared to the little I do know. I try to learn bits and pieces on how it works when time allows me to.

I hear things like AI will replace jobs, and I see how AI can manipulate the way people look to the point if you have no knowledge about AI you could not tell if this person’s picture, music, or lifestlye is real or AI. Am I talking to you or am I talking to AI when I’m online, or even the phone who’s to say?

People use AI for everything: Writing content, personal, assistance, navigation and traffic, customer support, entertainment recommendations, language translation, fraud detection, and health and fitness tracking.

“Its funny that AI is used for fraud detection when the same thing can be said about AI when it duplicates voices and images of real people aka deepfakes can mislead the public, damage reputations, and stripe- individuals of control over their own identity. Ummm, I’m detecting a sign of fraud maybe, or maybe not. Or is it just me?”

Research tells us with these AI Data Base centers they are not like factories where they employee a lot of people, they do create quit a few jobs:

    • Electricians
    • Security personal
    • HVAC echnicians
    • Network engineers
    • Maintenance workers
    • And in some cases construction can have tempoary employeement.

Whether they help or hurt a neighborhood it all depends on where they are built and how they are designed. It also depends on how your neighborhood or my neighborhood along with the utility comapany manage the impacts.

These centers have a great impact on electricity. They use significant amounts and cooling. The computers themselves are relatively quiet inside the building, but the cooling equipment is not. Noise may come from:

    • Large cooling fans.
    • Air conditioning systems.
    • Backup generators during testing or emergencies.
    • Cooling towers.

Now if your house just happens to be built next to a large data center you will hear a constant humming sound, especially at night when its real quiet. The up to date modernized data centers are equipped with:

    • Sound walls
    • Better fan designs
    • Land scaping
    • Noise-reduction equipment.
    • These installations will reduce the noise so home owners won’t hear them.

Some people just don’t want a data center in their neighborhood. Its not a good look. There is no beatification at all with them, its an eye sore. People want things like parks, trees, quiet streets, nice views. Not large warehouse-like buildings, utility substations, or heavy electrical infrastructure.

Where is the beauty in these things? Construction can temporarily disrupt yours or my neighborhood for a limited time, months or years. “Who’s to say.” In some instants people may avoid buying a home near a facility and the property values could be affected.

On the other hand property values may remain the same because the data center is not an eye sore to some because of the cleaness of the data center is well maintained and has little or no traffic.

There are people who see the bigger picture with having a data center in their neighborhood where businesses and residents benefit. Having a technology company in the area may open the door for other businesses to move near by. “People have to eat resturants might want to set up shop, hotels housing developments, and other technology related industries.” This would be better for slow growth neighborhoods in some undeveloped areas.

    • Better Internet connectivity
    • Better roads
    • Upgraded emergency services
    • Stronger electrical systems

There are good and not so good reasons why people may or may not want AI Data centers in there neighborhood. They bring both opportunity and concerns. This is something that each community would have to work out for themselves if one should be coming to a neighborhood near you.

If the who’s, who of AI when choosing to build a center in any neighborhood near you in AI USA with thoughtful planning, environmental safeguards, and how well the center interacts with the community, hopefully the outcome would please everyone concerned.

There are two types of AI users. The AI users who want to cheat, and the AI users who want to learn.

  • Know this, my beloved brothers; let everyone be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. James 1:19.

In life, as we grow we are taught many things. As a child, we learn from our parents to respect people, and how to behave. We go to school we are taught an education once we become an adult experience will teach us how to survive. If some of us were fortunate we were taught how to manage money. Whether we use the skills we were taught on how to manage money in a good or bad way some of us were still taught.

“One thing no one has ever taught me or maybe some of you. I was never taught about emotional intelligence. You would think that would be one of the fundamentals of learning”.

In my case, if someone would have told me about emotional intelligence when I was growing up or even taught it in school instead of how to dissect a frog. Things would have turned out a whole lot better for me a whole lot sooner. Now I know what my problem was!

Was anyone aware that emotional intelligence was deliberately not taught to school-aged children in school due to educators and parents thinking children were too young and or too immature to handle the subject?

But, sex education was taught. I guess they figured the children were old enough and mature enough to handle that. How many times have we had sex with someone who had emotional problems and we didn’t know it? Ummm Now I’m thinking, wonder if that made the sex better? OKAY!

    Wisdom!

Thank God with age comes wisdom. According to psychologists at A&M University in Texas and the University of Texas at Austin, the adage that with age comes wisdom may ring true.

By the time you reach a certain age, you should have mastered controlling your emotions. Well at least to the point where you’re not flipping the script all the time.

With the wisdom that comes from aging, 58.39% of older people have a good combination of understanding gained by experience accumulated knowledge or learning, and insight and judgment. I am sure I wouldn’t have made it without the blessing of getting older.

Here’s a thought. Due to the lack of emotional intelligence training. Some people didn’t live to become wiser. They might have flipped the script one time too many. Who’s to say!

I’m sure some of you when you were younger were not as equipped at managing your own emotions as you are now. I’m not or can’t be the only one.

If the powers at be, being those who knew about emotional intelligence made it mandatory that each child learned about emotional intelligence in class like they do the alphabet or how to add and subtract, or maybe even in junior high school, or high school.

In my opinion, I could be wrong a lot of things like school shootings, hate, disinformation, lying, trying to control others, and all the things that make people flip the script would not happen. Not saying those things still wouldn’t happen. But maybe not as much.

    Let’s break it down.

    1. We know that EQ is better well known as an emotional quotient short for emotional intelligence gives one the ability to manage their emotions in positive ways to relieve stress.
    2. To succeed at school and work.
    3. To communicate effectively.
    4. Be able to achieve career and personal goals.
    5. Building stronger relationships personal or otherwise.

Even though I’m okay today according to me. This eye-opening important bit of information explains a lot of many of my behaviors over the years.

You”ll just don’t know, I was a hot mess for years. They sure didn’t teach us about emotional intelligence when I was coming up. Definitely didn’t teach it when I was in that group home. And they had psychologists on hand, go figure. That sure explains a lot.

Thank God for aging! That God for wisdom!

  • If you are currently house hunting or weighing your options, the best way to determine if a neighborhood has a nice HOA is to do your homework.

“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”Proverbs 24:3–4

In my experience with my friends having to deal with HOA’s, I don’t understand why anyone would want to live in a place with so many rules and regulations, and you have to pay for those rules and regulations on top of your mortgage/rent.

It’s important to stay calm due to HOA members can make your life miserable, who needs that? They can come up with all kinds of rules and regulations that can make you start to feel very uncomfortable.

If you can keep a low profile and and respect the rules by trying not to piss off an HOA board member, or your neighbor for that matter, if you can make sure you are in good with your neighbors especially those who are in good with certain HOA board members.

“If you find yourself disagreeing with the HOA, suck it up and keep it moving, especially if you can’t afford to move or happened to like where your living. Being in a disagreement isn’t the end of the world.”

Ask yourself was the disagreement worth the hell these HOA people can bring to my doorstep because something was said in a disagreement that had them feeling offended?

For you life is good, you like where you’re living. Everything was great until this misunderstanding. Be the bigger person and eat this one, don’t let this get under your skin, being right isn’t always the best way to go. “Having a peace of mind where you rest your head is much more important.”

Keeping your head down and trying to stay humble when it comes to HOAs isn’t always going to work. You have some HOAs who are on a power trip and love reeking havok on unsuspecting homeowners.

If you feel like you have been targeted by an HOA board member, for breaking a rule, there are some things you can do while still in your calm mode. Ask to see the rule that you broke in writing, then make sure you get involve, read the bylaws. The less you say, the more you will be targeted.

Research and community psychology suggest that the “tyrant” or “power-hungry” HOA worker or board member is a real phenomenon driven by the structure of power rather than just bad apples.

    • A good HOA ask homeowners to keep grass reasonably maintained to prevent neglected properties from lowering neighborhood appeal. They send friendly reminders before taking actions.
    • A bad HOA fines a home owner because the grass is to tall after a week of heavy rain or due to the owners being sick.
    • A good HOA allows homeowners to personalize their homes while maintaining overall neighborhood attractiveness.
    • A bad HOA dictates every paint color, decoration or flower choice with little flexibility.
    • A good HOA provides transparent budgits and explains how dues are spent.
    • A bad HOA raises fees regularly without explanation and refuses to share financial records.
    • A good HOA enfoforces rules consistently for everyone.
    • A bad HOA lets board members violate rules while fining other residents
    • A good HOA keeps residents informed through newsletters emails and meetings.
    • A bad HOA makes decisions behind closed doors without informing homeowners.
    • A good HOA creates reasonable parking rules that balance safety and convenience.
    • A bad HOA aggressively tows vehicles for minor infractions without warning.

At the end of the day both parties need to view the HOA not as an adversary, but as a mutual tool to protect property values and maintain a harmonious living.

  • Maybe we need to laugh a little more, not because life is perfect but because it doesn’t need to be.

A time to weap a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:4

Maybe you may have hard at one time or another either meant for you or someone you know when you became a full fledge adult, that you need to quit playing, or you play to much, how about, your to old to be playing games.

When was the law was written that said, because you are an adult who happens to be a parent, school teacher, or someone who works in a serious profession like a police officer, lawyer, doctor, real estate agent, or running your own business or corporation that you are not allowed to play.

Why are we not allowed to play without someone thinking its being imature just because we are an adult? When I say play, I don’t mean go on a vacation, I mean right where you are in your life right know like a take timeout situation. Take time out to play, go home and play with your kids, your spouse, your friends, even play games by yourself.

When I think back, there have been times in my very much adult life when I was told I behave like a child due to my playful spirit. “Most of my friends and family would chalk it up to me not having any children of my own. At that time and even now, I “still believe that was the stupidest thing I have ever heard.”

Having a playful spirit is not just for kids. I believe we all have a playful spirit in side of us, people are just afraid to show it fear of being ridiculed. Some adults have had to grow up not being allowed to play, just as little boys were taught not to cry and show emotion when growing up.

Because life is filled with responsibilities, work, bills, family obligations, and daily pressures. Society often teaches us that playing is for children and that adulthood should only be focused on productivity.

Giving yourself permission to play is a powerful mindset shift. As an adult, play shouldn’t be a distraction you need to earn; it is an essential nutrient for your brain that lowers stress, sparks creativity, and restores your mental energy.

    • There are so many of us that are so stressed out about something, and that something can cause mental and emotional strain. Play provides a healthy break from those stresses. Playing board games with your friends or shooting some hoops, working on a hobby keeps you from thinking about the pressures in your life which releaves stress.
    • Play brings people into the present moment, increasing focus and energy. It helps adults develop coping skills to develop better handling challenges and to find joy in work.
    • Strenghtening social connections, wether in relationships or with friends, play builds empathy, trust , and intamacy serving as an antidote to loneliness.
    • When we play as an adult, it increases creativity, as it encourages imagination, curiosity, and problem solving. When we become adults these qualities just don’t disappear.
    • When we play our body benefits from it. Dancing, swimming, hiking, pickleball, frisbee, cycling, and recreational sports are all forms of adult play that keep the body active.

Psychologists emphasize that play is not merely for children; it is a critical, often overlooked component of adult well-being that acts as a vital tool for stress management, cognitive health, and social connection. Engaging in playful, purposeless activity allows adults to step away from “executive overdrive,” decreasing cortisol levels and fostering a more resilient, joyous, and creative life.

Take a cue from watching the children in your life, nobody tells them when to play they do it automatically.

But they who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength, they shall mount up their wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isiah 40:31

When most of us wake up each day, we either see or hear birds outside our window sounding like they are singing their hearts out. “For all we know they could be having a serious conversation about what they have planned for the day.” Because they sound like music to our ears its a welcome sound each morning.

How many people can say when they wake up each morning they get to see a bold eagle sitting out side their window. “Not many.”

“Let me say in this disclaimer that no one on the planet actually knows if they are living like God created them to be living. That would be between you/them and God.”

The Amercian bald eagle officially represents, freedom strength, courage, and independence. Back in Jesus day the mention of the eagle to a jewish person would anger a lot of people and one might be scorned due to the eagle being looked at as a primary military standard of the Roman Legions. Because the jewish people deeply resented being controlled and taxed by a foreign pagen power, the eagle became the ultimate visual representation of Roman tryanny.

In the Old Testement of the Bible, the eagle is seen as a symbol of strength. In the book of Isaiah 40:31 God said, he who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

The bald eagle officially became America’s national symbol of freedom, strength, and power on June 20, 1782 when the Second Continental Congress adopted it as the centerpiece of the Great Seal of the United States.

Living like The eagle is a powerful metopher for embrasing a life of high vision, resilience and constant renewal, encouraging individuals to rise above negativity and mediocrity.

Living in a world where we have challenges confronting us at every turn. Our health, lost of a loved one, relationships, divorce, financial strain, loneliness, setbacks, personal growth, our own negative thinking, low confidence, no confidence, self doubt, and heartbreak.

Feeling hopefully and positive can be a challenge in itself. You have to remind yourself that determination will help you stay grounded.

    • Rise above one negative habit.
    • Walk toward one meaningful goal everyday.
    • Learn something new each week.
    • Turn one challenge into a lesson.
    • Everyday we should encourage at least one person.

Eagles fly at high attitudes avoiding the crows and the chicken heads that dewell in lower negative energy. Unlike other birds that hide from storms, eagles use intense winds of a temptest to rise to greater heights. This symbolizes using life’s challenges, struggles and failures to use as opportunities to grow stronger and reach knew potential. Eagles have remarkable vision and focus, able to tune in on prey miles away.

In psychology, the eagle is viewed as a powerful archetype and personality symbol. Psychologists and behavioral researchers highlight the eagle’s strength as a metaphor for resilience and adaptability, while its discipline is linked to fierce focus, self-reliance, and emotional control. Eagles go through a molting process to shed old feathers. In human terms sphychologists view this behavioral of adaptation as the discipline as continuous renewal, letting go of the past and adapting to changing circumtances.

Living like an eagle means when someone insults you, you don’t immediately retaliate. When circumstances become diffulcult, you chose faith, wisdom, and patience instead of anger, and despair.

An eagle who listens to chicken heads and crows will never learn how to fly.

But do not gloat over the day of your brother in the day of his misfortune; do not rejoice over the people of Judah in the day of their ruin; do not boast in the day of distress. Obadiah 1:12

When was the last time you checked your entertainment senses? Have you noticed what you are watching, what entertains you?

I am not talking to people who have kids. Of course, you are going to monitor what your children watch. In some ways that forces you to monitor yourself when you watch television.

I was listening to a podcast the other night and somewhere in the conversation, someone said, isn’t it interesting how other people’s pain is entertaining for us?

You see that in different types of competitiveness when one team beats the hell out of another team, or a player on the opposing team gets hurt. The other side gloats in excitement. I wonder if this is true when I watch television on extended cable like Netflix, and Amazon Prime.

I immediately looked at myself. In my head, I did an inventory check on what I am entertained by when watching television. Let me be the first to say, I am so guilty of this. My go-to show when watching television is anything on Dateline, ID-Investigating Discovery. I could binge-watch both of these shows forever and never get tired.

“I asked myself, is there something wrong with me? Is this some sort of sickness? Do I need to talk to someone?”

Before I go any further in wondering if I am abnormal. I am aware that everyone does not watch television, and there are millions of people who are not into pain entertainment. To the millions of us who never realized we are pain watchers and like it. I mean no disrespect or have no intentions of being insensitive to anyone.

I want to know if something is wrong with me. Some people like to be quiet when they write. Some people listen to music when they write. I have the television on when I write. 90% of my television viewing is focused on something bad happening to somebody. Even if I’m not looking at the television, while I am writing I have one ear on the TV. I even sleep by television. I can’t fall asleep unless the television is on and it has to be on a particular type of programs like ID-Investigation Discovery, or Dateline.

Again I don’t watch the program I will listen to it until I fall asleep. I am not as bad as I use to be. I listen to the Word now, but I still do it sometimes.

Schadenfreude — Enjoyment obtained by other people’s pain.

This sounds a lot like sadists. I have been called a sadist by family members because of the television programs I like. My husband thinks I watched these shows because I am secretly planning his demise. “It never crossed my mind.”

I never feel the need to go out and harm someone. I don’t hate anyone enough to want to kill them. I don’t hate anyone period! Besides orange doesn’t look good on me.

Normally when one writes an article and we do our research on a particular topic. Nine times out of ten whatever the expert, doctor, or professional has to say about such a topic, we go with their opinion and never think twice.

When explaining schadenfreude clinical psychologist John Mayer, Ph.D., author of Family Fit: Find Your Balance in Life, tells Health. Psychologist John Mayer, Ph.D. suggests when it comes to schadenfreude and the people who exhibit this behavior have negative thoughts that can range from hate to envy.

He goes on to say, “You can ‘love’ your neighbor, friend, or relative, but your feelings of joy at their misfortune can be spurned on by jealousy.”

I disagree with this analysis. Not only because he speaks mostly about celebrities in his description of schadenfreude. I don’t believe people are jealous and take pleasure in another person’s misfortune.

My thing is this. I could go on speaking on this schadenfreude forever. I could mention opinions and theories from all kinds of doctors and specialists. Believe me, they are out there when it comes to this subject.

I also believe the people who determine what type of entertainment we choose to watch do they have schadenfreude tendencies. I’m an enquiring mind!

    • Amazon Prime
    • Hulu
    • Roku
    • Starz
    • Netflix
    • Bet+

All of these extended networks choose the way we choose to watch entertainment. Whether it’s happy, encouraging, teaching, or violent. In other words, we choose our entertainment programs from what is put in front of us. The people who make these decisions do they also have schadenfreude syndrome tendencies?.

Netflix did the Jeffery Dahmer called Monster. Almost 300 million hours were viewed in its first full week. According to Netflix’s figures at least 56 million, households have seen all 10 episodes. From where I am sitting. That’s a lot of households. How many of them took pleasure or thought it was fun to see?

I wonder how many of these people have this schadenfreude. Do they even know they have it? Is there a cure for this? Is schadenfreude a mental illness?

    Research suggests:

While some degree of schadenfreude is part of the normal continuum of human experience, frequent schadenfreude can indicate a mental health condition. People with personality diagnoses such as antisocial personality may delight in the pain of others and have little regard for others’ well-being.

Schadenfreude, the experience of pleasure at the misfortune of others, is a very common emotion. It may seem mean-spirited, vindictive even, but if you have ever felt guilty about the satisfaction you experienced when someone else messed up, don’t be too hard on yourself.

At the end of the day, I don’t know if something is wrong with me or not.

Before I heard the word schadenfreude and its meaning, from time to time I use to wonder why I liked the television shows I like. Never made a big deal out of it. After realizing that Lifetime & ID- Investigation Discovery are so close to being one and the same. I figured I didn’t create these shows, they are what are presented to me by people who make a whole lot of money as in television networks and extended cable off of other people’s pain and misfortune.

Surely I am not the only one who thinks this.

  • Boundaries The Non- Negogiator

Boundaries are not meant to limit you; they are meant for you to put yourself first and decide what you’ll allow to enter your personal space both physically and mentally.

The Bible frames boundaries as healthy stewardship of your life and energy, rather than selfishness. Scripture teaches that you are responsible for your own actions, emotions, and faith, and encourages setting limits to protect your heart, guard your time, and correct destructive behavior

“You must keep in mind that there there is no negotiating boundaries. There is no such thing as negotiating boundaries.” Where do they do that at? People who have no respect for boundaries have an agenda. They feel you having boundaries creates friction with their desires, insecurities, or habits. When you allow someone to negotiate your boundaries, they are not your boundaries anymore.

Psychologists define boundaries as the agreed limits or rules used to provide safety and structure in relationships. They state that while setting boundaries is essential for self-care, maintaining mental health, and preventing burnout, many people use them improperly as a way to control others or avoid necessary conversations.

    • To avoid their own discomfort or accountability.
    • To maintain control or power in a relationship.
    • When someone tries to negotiate your boundaries, they are pushing back against your personal limits rather than accepting them as a final answer.
    • They may want to see if your boudary is a bluff or if you will back down with mild resistance.
    • They want something from you and feel entitled to get it.

When we don’t set boundaries, we let other people control our lives and dictate how we should behave. This can be extremely harmful to our mental health and well-being.

When you stand firm to your boundaries, you are not being mean-you are being clear. There will be some disappointment from those who respect you, but they will not hold it against you. Don’t ever be fooled into negotiating your boundaries not now or ever.

“Boudaries are a form of self love and respect.”

  • Look up!

Why allow someone to put you in that space. What you do in a very polite, clear direct way is to have them clarify their feelings. “Make sure to ask them if you heard them right.?”

Why do you care? You don’t live with or sleep with these people, so that puts you in a position to totally ignore them, you don’t have to say anything. That’s your prerogative to look at them straight in the eye and let silence do your talking for you. “A calm stoned -faced pause for a few seconds can be more powerful than words, being silient is saying alot without saying anything.”

Ask them if there intent was to hurt you or upset you? Catching them off guard with this question will cause them to react as if they didn’t mean it that way. They will go as far as to say, that they didn’t mean it like it sounded. They might even want to apologize. “Listen to the apology and just walk away.”

In this life, no one is better than you and you are not better than anyone. The last time someone tried to put me down I took it as a compliment. I’m thinking, there is something about me that is awesome, and they don’t have it, and its driving them crazy.

Some people need to try and look down on people because they have nothing to look “Up for.”

They are loosers. Be a winner and keep looking Up and pay them no attention.

  • Some people are good for that always letting their mouth write a check that their ass can’t cash. And when you put their behind in overdraft, all of a sudden your the problem. People will try you to see what they can get away with by fucking with you. When they see that you are not the one and put them in check, all of a sudden they are crying boo whoo, they be like you didn’t have to say that like that, or accusing you of having thin skin.

“Some people love dishing it out , but can’t take it. They think you are suppose to just let them say anything out the way to you, and you are suppose to take it. You did the right thing by standing up for yourself. Keep up the good work, you didn’t initiate this thing, you have the right to straighten that ass.”

What they need to do is stay in their lane and leave you alone. Where I come from we have a saying that goes: Don’t Start None Won’t Be None! Stand your ground and don’t allow mouthy people think they can wake up in the morning and decide to step out of their home and mess with you for no apparent reason. Let them know that they got out on the wrong side of the bed, and if they decide to mess with you, you will be more than happy to tuck them back in.
